The Litoranea is a long coastal area south of Torre del Greco. Here, beach clubs, sea access points and stretches of free beach alternate along the shoreline.
The sand is of volcanic origin and the seabed can be shallower than in the rocky sections of the coast. The area is very popular in summer, especially at weekends, so arriving early is recommended.
Facilities are not guaranteed in the free areas: bring water, an umbrella, sunscreen and take your rubbish with you. Before swimming, always check local signs, sea conditions and any local bathing bans or restrictions.
